Dafter, Mich. (February 10, 2025) – Cloverland Electric Cooperative is proud to support its members seeking scholarship opportunities through Cloverland Cares, helping students in the Eastern Upper Peninsula (EUP) pursue higher education. 
To support EUP area schools, scholarships are applicable for educational purposes at Lake Superior State University, Bay Mills Community College, Les Cheneaux Culinary School or Great Lakes Boat Building School. Electric utility technology programs offered by Northern Michigan University, Alpena Community College or Lansing Community College are also eligible.
Applications will be evaluated based on academic and community involvement, work experience and career goals. A written essay and supporting letters of recommendation are required.
Eligible cooperative members can apply online at cloverland.com by March 3, 2025. The applicant or their parent or legal guardian must be a member of Cloverland Electric Cooperative. All co-op members are eligible with no age restrictions. Applicant must be enrolled or planning to enroll as a full-time student for the upcoming fall term.
Cloverland Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric utility located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The cooperative energizes over 4,000 miles of power line, serving over 43,000 meters for 34,500 residential and business members across Chippewa, Delta, Mackinac, Luce and Schoolcraft counties.
