November 5-6 Wind Storm Summary

Outages Restored (since 5:04 PM Saturday, November 5): 16,000 in 188 locations
Active Outages:  224

The gales of November took out power for many Cloverland Electric Cooperative members across the Eastern Upper Peninsula this weekend. High winds caused downed lines and trees on lines predominantly in Schoolcraft and Mackinac counties, then quickly spread throughout the cooperative's five county service territory. Outages began Saturday, November 5 at 5:04 PM and quickly climbed to a peak of 8,700 in more than 30 townships Saturday night. Outage numbers fluctuated throughout the night. By Sunday evening, line crews from all five cooperative divisions restored approximately 16,000 outages. Due to mandatory safety rest for crews, approximately 224 members remained out of power Sunday night. Restoration efforts will resume early Monday morning.

During extended outage events, Cloverland provides updates at 6 AM, 10 AM,  2 PM, 6 PM and 10 PM on cloverland.com and the co-op's Facebook page.
